Sometimes I wonder if it is all just an act & that I have at some point forgotten to stop lying to myself

So this in all honesty is therapeutic destruction. Anyone familiar with my gallery may recognize the original painting... the destruction comes from me doodling over a photo print of the original canvas painting. This painting has been in my opinion the last decent thing I have done, and as such every tutorial with my tutors, and for each new project I undertake at uni, this gets shown (with slight photoshop variations for darkness/contrast specific on the project). I felt as if i was relying on this one painting, too lacking in confidence perhaps or just too scared to do anything new in case it wasn't as good as I want to be. So this leads me to the graffiti'd phrase... sometimes I really do feel like a fake, like the talent I have is regurgitated, worn-out; a support that i keep relying on. By destroying this much used image, I put and end to this farce - a fresh start, to hopefully begin again with new eyes.
